COLOMBIA RESIDENCIES 2015/2016

Open Call- Opportunity at Triangle in New York City

Apply for a Residency through Triangle's 2016-17 Open Call Applications are currently being accepted through our open call for Triangle’s 2016-17 Residency Program. Triangle offers free, spacious studios and a dynamic artistic community to support the development of projects with emphasis on dialogue and experimentation.  Our  studios  are located at 20 Jay Street in Brooklyn, New York. Unlike many other residency programs, Triangle does not emphasize professionalization or specific outcomes but rather allows artists space, context and community within which to focus on ideas, research and process.  Deadline to apply is  January 15, 2016 .  See  here  for full details and to apply. In the year 1999, Hong-Gah Museum was established by Mr. Andrew Chew, the chairman of Chew’s Culture Foundation with the principle to promote contemporary and new media arts in Taiwan and also to serve as a multi-functional exhibition venue. Umrao Singh Sher-Gil Art Grant for Photography 2015 Sher-Gil Sundaram Arts Foundation   UMRAO SINGH SHER-GIL GRANT FOR PHOTOGRAPHY Instituted by the Sher-Gil Sundaram Arts Foundation   The Sher-Gil Sundaram Arts Foundation (SSAF) shall carry forward the legacy of scholar and photographer Umrao Singh Sher-Gil (1870–1954); his daughter and a pioneering figure of modern Indian art, Amrita Sher-Gil (1913–1941); her nephew and niece, artist Vivan Sundaram, and documentary filmmaker and television journalist Navina Sundaram. SSAF, set up in the year 2015, is guided by a consciousness of the moment in history at which it comes into being.
